I attended the first clinic and it was great but I have forgotten, does the camping area have electical hook up? If no one knows I'll contact the campgrounds.

It didn't. I was sleeping in my dive trailer, and the first night I almost froze to death. It wasn't anything a hundred feet of extension cords couldn't cure, though.

They have two campgrounds; the primitive, which is right next to the pavillions, springs, etc. has no electricity and does no allow RVs. The RV campground about a half mile away.

RVs there the year I attended. I remember Jill H. having one! Maybe I'd better call and check this out. Middle of January in Northern Florida in a tent, hummm.

Does anyone know specifically what will be covered at the IUCRR clinic. Is it oriented toward becoming a RR diver? Is it lecture only or is there an in-water aspect? Does one have to register for the whole weekend to attend the IUCCR clinic or can one just pay the $50 at Ginnie Springs?

Thanks.

Craig -

I took this course a couple years ago. It's mostly lecture, discussing your role in assisting law enforcement and not speculating but dealing strictly with facts. Being careful what (if anything) you say to friends & family of the deceased that may be on scene.

There are some in water exercises. Approaching an accident scene, taking notes and removing the deceased using a couple different methods.

There's a bit more to it than that but that's a thumbnail sketch.

Interesting class.
