So this past Wednesday I spent a nice day on the suwannee (with the exception of losing my new outboard motor into the river during the trip), however during the trip I set out looking for acouple places I have never been before. When I pulled into Suwannee Blue with the hopes of diving it I was greeted with nice fresh and new No Trespassing signs nailed into a falled tree that blocks the spring run. Does anyone know how the apparent new land owner ajacent to the spring feel about people diving it? Also while searching for bathtub I was told that the spring was on the east bank of the river, however I only located a spring on the west bank at my GPS coordinate that appeared to have a man made dam. I dont know if that was bathtub because after 20 minutes with a mask and snorkel I was unable to locate any cave entrance. Can someone chime in with some info, or maybe a nice PM ;)

There is now a house at Suwannee Blue, and techically as long as you stay in the water nothing can be done. The question is what does the landowner own.
"technically....nothing can be done. the question is what does the landowner own."
meaning that the landowner is the unknown and may not adhere to technicalities?

A year or so ago Ranger Jeff and myself met the owner. He was very nice. He has owned the property since 1990 if I remember correctly. Anyway now he has retired and built a home and lives on the property. He was nice about saying he doesn't want people on his property. Its like you and your family are enjoying a nice day sitting out by the water and all of a sudden there are strangers walking around. I can understand that. Before he wasn't living there so he didn't care. He doesn't own the water, just the surrounding land. He hopes people will repect this and his home. We asked about signing wavers and/or special permission and he said no. We said thank you and left.
