After an extensive test phase we today present the result of a completely novel LED lamp head.
The TWINLED LED head has been milled from a single block of aluminium and is extremely robust. The slide switch with notches and locking mechanisms activates the 3 capacity stages. 50% - 100% - 2 x 100%
It is the only LED lamp head on the market with "intelligent focusing”. The term “intelligent focusing” means that the decreasing brightness at enlargement of the light cone is automatically balanced out by an increase in output. That is attained by the use of 2 different reflectors. The light output is doubled with the added switching on of the medium reflector. In both first output stages only the LED with the spot reflector is used. Naturally, the new LED head is 100% compatible with our PHOTON / LED-CAVE system.

Technical data:
2 x OSTAR LED (Osram), each 16W
Reflectors: 10° spot and 20° medium
Maximum light output: approx. 2000 lumen (equals 2 x 50W Halogen)
Dimming stages: 50% - 100% - 2 x 100%
Burn time rates with our LiMn rechargeable battery canister: 12 hours, 6 hours, 3 hours
Total discharge protection
Material: Aluminium, scratch-proof hard anodised, black
With Goodman handle (hard + soft)
Weight: 620 g
Dimensions: L = 93mm, H = 50mm, W = 87mm
Pressure resistant: 200m

The LED-head can also be configured only with two spot reflectors.
In combination with this new release we have also done some reconstruction work on our website. Apart from the 2009 price list, it now contains the complete, newly subdivided LED light system.
The TWINLED head will be available from the end of December. For the first 10 advanced orders (TWINLED-CAVE or TWINLED head) we offer a special discount of 20% on the regular retail price.

The price list you can find here:

We are in contact with some dealers, but nothing is perfect just in time.

Are the TWINLED heads essentially the same as 2 PHOTON heads in the same housing? Are there any photon lights in the US I could see?

Yes,
in the TWINLED-head are two times the same LED like in the PHOTON head.
The only different is: one spot reflector and one medium reflector.
Our new dealer in US is GOLEMGEAR.COM, he has the PHOTON. In 2 to 3 weeks he get the new TWINLED-CAVE.

Hello,

now i can show some beam shots to compare the both versions of TWINLED.
Picture 1 shows the 3 power steps from the version with 1 x spot and 1 x medium reflector.
step1: only the spot reflector with 50% power
step2: only the spot reflector with 100% power
step3: the spot reflector and the medium reflector ith 100% power each.
In picture 1 you can see the effect of the "intelligent focusing".

Picture 2 shows the 3 power steps from the version with 2 x spot reflectors.
step1: only the spot reflector with 50% power
step2: only the spot reflector with 100% power
step3: both spot reflectors with 100% power each.

I know, the pictures are dont made under water, but to compare the both versions they are significant.
