COOL!
Lots of hokey stuff in that trailer, but the scooters did it for me - I'm there on opening day. The exploding scooter looked cool too :-D

Looks like the "Jaws" equivalent for caves
Brain Kakuk was the Diving Safety Officer for the movie and did an excellent presentation at the NACD seminar!!
Here's some more info....

Real professional spelunkers have trips like this all the time. This film will serve to show the general public that caves are very dangerous places with all kinds of hideous monsters and should be avoided at all costs. I'm sure if we had proper cinematography most of our trips would look exactly like this. I was stunned at the number of times my caving experiences have been just like that. I can't wait until the book comes out.
Looks like a spin-off from the Alien movies.

I think the explosion under water looks like some cave systems I have been in behind some people that needs to work on there fin kicks and buoyancy.

There was some comment at the recent Cave Geology seminar regarding the split-fin and its propensity for locating Guide Line...
I pointed out that it (the split-fin) is primarily an OW fin...the split is designed to seek out whole branches of CORAL, and neatly snip them off at the bottom, allowing for the majority of the branch to be stowed neatly in the catch bag for later transport back to Iowa. Using Power Fins in OW causes the trophy to be merely STEPPED ON and crushed, leaving a much smaller and less attractive sample to be removed...
Just setting the record straight,
Norm

Split fins and cave monsters may suck;nevetheless, in the trailer, I saw sceneries from a cave that I would love to dive regardless of how rough it may get or how tight the restrictions may be.

Alot of the "caves" were not actual caves... funny how hollywood likes to "recreate" the real world....
Man made caves in Romainia... gotta love it... :)

I was wondering how badly they were going to destroy cave divers images with "Hollywood." Kinda like the way they made firemen appear in Backdraft. That was a joke. :-D It appears that they may have gotten it right. At least they hired real cave divers, and not some OW divers trying to pretend. Should be fun to go watch.
I think this might be the movie Wes Skiles is involved in. He had to beg off the workshop last May to go to Romania to film a movie with cave sequences.

Yep, this be that one. Should be pretty good if Wes is excited about getting it to premier in High Springs.

Why has it been pushed back?? Are they stuck on a artificial restriction or are they doing deco on air ??

Looks like cool diving footage, looks like the rest of it might be kind of corney.
What I thought was cool was the Imax movie of cave exploration, If you have a chance to got to an IMAX theater, holy cow its cool.
Its not all cave diving though...
