When my wife found out how much I spent on a rebreather she had a bad joke played on me. Here is the photo!

I still say you have the most understanding and supportive wife in all of diving - none of my previous three would have settled for less than castration......

You da man!

Jim,
She was not very understanding of me diving tonight on our anniversary. I told her that you and I were going to Ginnie but she was not going to have that....I just can't understand why:smt102.

Mike,
She already took care of that 14 years ago:smt003.

Is it odd that I told my wife how much I was "going" to spend on the breather and she actually went with me to pick it up? :smt102

Then again... she has been "reading up" on rebreathers and also recently had me "update my insurance policy amount"... you know... now that I think of it...

uh oh.... :?

Joe,

Was she encouraging you to dive it with only a 40 in a cave? Is the filter material she bought from Wall mart used to filter above ground pools? Did she drill holes in the loop to make it easier for you to clean it? Has she been having lunch a lot with the insurance agent? Who knows right?

The rebreather wasn't that hard of a sell. She understands extended bottom times and more "safety". We did however get some life insurance on my ass.

What has become complex is the scooters. I am scheduled to get a scooter this fall and have been getting some push back from her on the issue. You would think that living in paradise with a swell guy like me would be permission to buy anything I like? Nope, scooters seem to be the limit.

Remember,

It's much easier to ask for forgiveness, than to ask for permission!

Remember, It's much easier to ask for forgiveness, than to ask for permission!

My wife is my business partner, our book keeper, and my dive buddy. We spend most of everyday together, I don't want to be begging forgiveness for noth'n. I think I will try and be grateful for someone who wants to live in Mexico and cave dive and treat her right.

She is the one who speaks Spanish in the house. And she holds the purse strings. If she felt slighted and wanted to exact revenge, I could be in a world of trouble. she is the boss in every way.

Therefore, I will practice my diplomacy and make my case. Or I will work a whole hell of a lot more billable hours. I have another month before I have to commit. I fear naught! I will find the way.
