A guy that used to keep this forum hopping. He hasn't posted in awhile.

Sorry, that link must contain Moderator privileges.
Go to "Member List," "S," page 5 of "S," then next to Sid, "Find." The older posts are the best.
A few years ago, when this forum was on it's original format.....at least original to me, I was at Peacock 1. There was a fellow sitting on the steps as I was getting out. He was helping a couple other divers prep before hopping in.
Anyway, he had the name "Sid" tattooed on his bicep. I thought....hmmmm, I wonder. I asked him if he was the Sid that posted on Cavediver and he replied, "UH NO! I think not" and walked away........
Made me think he had read here before.......

The guy was a regular caving Hunter S Thompson. This one was great!

We need more caving gonzo journalism.

Me thinks he'll be getting more than a kick to the groin where he's going.

Andrew, that post was typical of posts he would make on an everyday basis. And I do mean EVERY DAY.You can see why we say the forum just isn't the same without him.RO-SHAM-BO!!!
The ole RO-Sham-BO. I reember those days with him and Herby. Boy what times they were.

Thanks to Sid I will never be able to enjoy a backplate, harness or hood as a Christmas gift...
But he is a great addition to the forum!

Argh! You had to remind me of those pictures - just when I was getting over the trauma of seeing them the first time!
Mike
I tried to find Sid's pictures, and re-post them, but I guess they got lost in the move to this new forum :-D

Or maybe they were secretly dumped by a moderator? :smt102
For the newbies out there, picture a naked man wearing nothing but a backplate, viewed from behind, our innocence preserved by a two-inch crotch strap.

I think they were in the Fill Station, but rolled off. If the archives are available somewhere, all the newcomers could be "treated" to the show. :clapper

A "treat" for sure - the type of treatment you want to avoid! The only safe way to look at those pictures is though welder's goggles to avoid permanent retinal as well as psychological damage!
