Taking Cavern 5/31

Just wanted to let everyone know I'll be taking my cavern class on May 31st and June 1st with Johnny Richards. We'll be at Ginnie both days.

If you see the young guy with lots of hair in a blue/black BARE suit and a single LP steel, come say hey!

Congrat's! Johnny is a great instr.. I had him for my Cavern and Basic.

Careful with that loud mustang near Ginnie.....seems like high springs is trying to make up for the budget crisis in that one area. Artificially low speed limits (40mph) in areas that were 65mph not too long ago.....be careful!

Just bumping this thread, I'll be at Ginnie for practice dives next Friday, and the class is on Saturday/Sunday. Here's a picture of what I look like...

Edit: I promise, I was not diving any of those jacket BC's. My BP/W is sitting higher than the rest of the in the tank rack in the back left corner! You can see the reck necklace hanging around the tank valve :)

I have no problem with jacket BCs (I'll take a BC over a plate any time I use a single tank). It's all of those crappy unbalanced first stages on those AL80s!:smt079

Danny, I'll be in town if you want to go diving together. I have a Ginnie pass and state park pass, so I don't care where we go. I loaned my tanks to a buddy, so I gotta get those, should be available after noon. I'll be doing a midnight dive at Ginnie Saturday. Not sure where to go during the day, I don't want to be around all the drunks at Ginnie, my tolerance just isn't enough for that.

I do my honey-dos during the week after work.Im already dirty/sweaty and it dont get dark till 8;30 this time of year.Weekends are for play

I just got permission to go purchase me a new "Dive-Mobile" , so I went out and got a new HHR
I'll post the pics later -- we just got home.. I guess it pays off in the long run to spend some weekends with the "Honey" :diver

Not bad! I'm not a Chevy guy by any extent, but that will work well for diving. I use my old Mustang for now, but I'll need something else to tote the doubles and head to more remote sites (3'' of ground clearance doesn't work so well on the way to Paradise) one of these days!

I still have the Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 for the big jobs :)
Just needed something for my day trips .. This should be a lot easier on the pocket book instead of that Cummins diesel @ 150 per trip to NFL.

I can believe it. I've been to NFL the past 3 weekends at $50 gas + tolls recently. That's got to stop. :?

Absolutely fantastic class. I had a blast, and learned more than I ever I could. I'll post up a report sometime tomorrow.
