Does anybody have any info on Cindy's Motel in Mayo? I think there is a diner right next to it also.
Thanks

It is relatively inexpensive and not too bad from what I remember. The diner is nothing special. I'd eat somewhere else.

It's very convenient to be able to walk to a restaurant from your hotel and grab breakfast before heading out for the day that's for sure.
It's been a couple years but I've eaten there, breakfasts only, it was good but and like Wedge said, nothing special.
I've never stayed at Cindy's, but I've heard it's OK. Clean & comfortable.
$50/night, wifi works sometimes, not a lot to the place, but it has a heater/ac, hot water, is clean, and is close to PSSP.

Last I ck'd their room prices were upped to over $60 a night to keep up w\Motel 6 !!.....Still a convenient place to stay & prep your gear for cave country. Nice people too...I've known them for several years. While the Mayo Cafe may not be your local steak house or Red Lobster, their menu fills the bill for breakfast, lunch & dinner..........Where else in the area could you fill your gullett for under 6 or 7 bucks huh? Cathy's is also a good value in my opinion & I prefer staying at her ranch if I can. Home cooking, gas fills, close to PSSP & friendly bonfires at night after diving.....Thar's the place to stay in my book-!
good luck where ever you stay.

I was booked there for a couple of nights in February and it was $50 then. I ended up having to cancel because that was the weekend PSSP was blown out. I haven't stayed at Cathy's because that's always seemed more like a single diver's place to stay. My wife also dives so we're there together. I do get my fills there, though. I'll have to check out the bonfire next time we're out that way...whenever Peacock opens back up to diving...

If the cottage at Cathy's is available it's very nice for a couple - Tracy & I always stay there, as do some other couples of our aquaintance. Since some friends got married at Peacock a few years ago, we always call it the "Honeymoon Cottage".
