Looks like the Peacock area is geting nailed today by more rain. If those of you that live in the area could let us know how much the area is getting it would be much appreciated.

I think we are expecting about 1-1/2 inch today/tomorrow. We just had a small thunderstorm roll through.
What we need is 4-5 inches of localized rain so it can filter through the ground and blow these systems out.
No more rain in the swamp please!!

I just looked at the river graphs. The Whit. at the Valdosta station has risen about a foot since around 6am this morning. Same for the Alapaha at the Statenville station, over 1 foot since around 6am
Which means Madison might...might go under again in a couple days, she is blowing pretty hard though which is good.
They are looking at more rain throughout the weekend in Fargo, Ga (the swamp).
This is not helping.

At my house exactly one inch so far, it came down in about 10 minutes time, water was
everywhere, it is now soaking slowly into the ground. We need the rain here locally to build up the acquifer, not the rain that falls in GA and raises the river.

Seems the heavy line of T-storms is coming from the West, my buddies in P'cola said it was raining cats and dogs there around 1-2 PM, it is raining here now (just west from JAX) and radar shows it's going to keep falling.
Dive safe,

We got 2.75 inches almost 3 inches of rain
very wet.
Hopefully it washed some of the pollen away.

It's a shame the rain hasn't washed away these monster-truck sized, blood-thirsty skeeters! Did run off a few of the tubers though :yawinkle:

I was told by someone in town that a tornado touched down in Lake City again. I have not heard any details. Did anyone hear anything? Our cable was out and so we lost the TV and the internet.
Ginnie was crowded this evening late. Rain was coming down but it did not stop three very drunk girls wearing next to nothing, wrestling on a raft right in front of the steps. At least while my buddy was having some equipment issues it kept things interesting while I waited in the water..

We have a total of 2.7 so far, it really helped our pond-which all we have left in the pond are the gambushi (?) fish, they are the ones that eat the mosquito larvae. Richard only had one inch in the parks rain guage.

thanks to all for the info. I hope the local rain will help clean out the caves.,
