...Sat & Sun, March 15-16, 9-5.
Just got a report that the viz is outstanding there right now....60-70 ft! Best in years!
Sooooo...with almost everything blown out in N. Florida, why not come to Dive Rite's first Tech Tour of 2008?
The full line of DR gear will be on site to test dive....Front-zip 905 drysuits, the new 500 LED light, 24 watt & 10 watt HID lights, reels , aircell/backplate combos, Nomad sidemount system,Transpacs...and lots more!
You can also test dive the O2ptima rebreather (must be Nitrox certified, $25 instructor fee), seminras will be at 9:00 each day....you can call Drew Davis, on-site manager, 904/449-0675, to sign up early...first signed, first in the water!
In case you haven't heard, the new owners of the site have put LOTS of time, $$$$, and effort into improving the facility. Normal entry fee is $50 (includes two AIRfills and lunch), but anyone who attends the Tech Tour can get in for $25. You must be at least AOW certified to dive there. No other restrictions apply, to my knowledge (check with Drew if you have questions).
I was at the Nest yesterday...viz was 30-40 ft. in the Ballroom and downstream, including the Lockwood tunnel....so 40-Fathom is MUCH better than that!
