:smt111 Sharing my Christmas Eve Thoughts in Orlando:

Again, no snow this year, damn... 17 years in Orlando, and I've still not seen snow on Christmas (or any day for that matter)... oh well, maybe next year...

Mom came to visit yesterday, she is in the kitchen cooking things and asking me how to crush up some walnuts (use the hammer I tell her). Tomorrow's dinner is sure to fill me up for a week... Brother Mark is outside washing the old blazer in the rain. Both dogs are sleeping on 'their' leather couch, stomachs already full. I expect a dozen or so calls from friends and family today...

Planning my next dive is enjoyable. My dry suit is hanging out in the garage and almost dry (I got it wet inside the last 2 dives, don't ask). My batteries are all charged, my cameras are cleaned, and ready. I've got 2 new D-rings to install on my ancient sidemount transpac... I've been meaning to do this for 2 years... but I WILL DO IT TODAY.. or TOMORROW... I've got just a bit more packing to do for my next dive trip... Now, Mom's asking me to tell her where the big blue bowl is (I did not know I had one).... I've got to head out real soon to get some tanks filled. It may take hours...

Tomorrow evening I'm outta here... I'm heading to the far north of Florida for a week+ of diving... I'm in a great mood and no spiked eggnog yet... Happy Holidays for me!

I wish everyone a happy holiday season!

Happy Holidays to everyone! I hope you have a nice time with your family and friends.

Please say a prayer for the people who are in other countries to help protect our freedom. They don’t have the option to be with their families.

I hope to see lots of people at the Social. Make sure you drive safely on your way down. The high here in Orlando is only going to make it up to 65 today, but it’s cloudy and rainy. I did see snow in Orlando, about 10 years ago, but it melted when it hit the ground.

That is so sad to think about that. I've got close friends in Iraq, Afganistan and Korea this holiday season. Fortunately they all have email and internet access. I'll take time and send them an email today. They never complain about my stories.

Well, it’s that time again and many of us are heading diving or spending time with families.

I would like to wish everyone here a Merry Christmas, and watch out for a fat guy in red suit. Hopefully everyone has been good and gifts are on the way. Newscasters say a sleigh has been spotted over China so it has begun.

To the troops serving overseas we wish you the best, you are in our hearts and dreams. Keep your head down and come home soon. Please spread the cheer of this holiday with others so they too can see how and why we love our country and this holiday so much. God bless everyone one of you.

Well, I am sick as a dog (crude going around) and I will not make the social with certain events that have held me here in Texas. I would love to hear about all of the details of the social and the scooter race.

Any one interested in writing an article for Overhead Times is welcome to submit any and all ideas. We are looking for new articles and pictures would be a great addition. So any trips or events get writing and drop us a line. Hey, that way everyone can know about the vegetarian piranhas! Or any ideas about a new cave diving Flag.

Like others I will be working on ideas for 2005 and updating gear. My parts just came in for my Poseidon Cyklon so I get to work on that.

To all my friends and fellow cave divers -Merry Christmas and may yours be happy and bright. That includes everyone in the UK, and aboard.

Dive Safe, Andrew

How far north are you heading? If you make it as far as the Mill Pond I hope to see you there next week. If not, happy holidays to you, Mark, and your mom, and the dogs too.
