Does anyone know what happen? It looked like someone went straight instead of making a left.

it's been that way since the park opened back up... The nails look like they rusted away and the wood is dry rotting.

I was thinking about taking a hammer and nails next time I'm out there to fix it if it isn't already done.

These stairs are great compared to the stairs that were there a few years ago. The old stairs would move from the pilings each time you took a step. It was so scary it became safer to walk up/down the erosion trench (that has since been filled in) when walking to/fro the parking lot. One day there were several locals on the steps and us walking up with our tanks on. It looked like the Tocoma Narrows Bridge movie footage.LOL

Great memories, Kelly. I remember once I was trying to go up the trench, and a local was coming down. He stuck out his hand and said, "Here, buddy, let me give you a hand." He tried to pull me up, but I was about three times heavier than he expected. I fell on my butt, and he fell on top of me and rolled down the hill.

No one was happier about the new steps than me.
