Went up Juniper creek Sunday to ck on river levels & conditions @ Sweetwater. Was very peacefull until I got to the spring at Sweetwater. There I found the run roped off & No Tresspassing signs all over the place...Not sure if the signs were legit, but any river which flows freely is not supposed to be blocked off or restricted. In addition, there seemed a lot of hoopla going on inside the property, & I wondered if the state hands out permits this early in the year-! I think not. The run itself still ran clear & blue with a lot of stripped bass swimming down below. Lots of turtles & water fowl as well. A nice day to be on the water-!

This name and number is on the letter head of a news release at this website http://www.fs.fed.us/r8/florida/news/

Maybe she knows something about what was going on this weekend?

In the letter is mentioned District Ranger Rick Lint. Maybe a call to him?

As long as you stay off the bank it belongs to everyone.I know they used to rent the house for weekends ect.Maybe the temporary renters were hoping for privacy but its not a legit posting. That canoe/kayak trip is a must do for anyone who hasent.Put in at Juniper and theyll pick you up,4 hours later and shuttle you back.I think its one of the best canoe trails in Florida.
