I lost my wedding band in Little River today. It's somewhere between the second T and the Chimney on the main line. My wife is going to kill me for this one. If anyone finds it please return it.

Ooooh!!! you are in trouble now...
Let me know when your gear goes on sale. Maybe I will be able to purchase some items to tone down my colorfully coordinated outfit...
But seriously - best of luck in finding it - and may your sweetie be a very understanding spouse...
Dwayne,
Below or before{bottom of} the Chimmney-? & where you exiting or going in-?

Well, Ryan and I can help you find it on Monday. Give us both a call and we'll make a day of it. My semi-dry is being shipped, but may not come in until Tuesday or Wednesday.

The dive was to go Marry Go Round to Florida Room and return via the Surpentine. I called the dive just after the second T and when I was doing a deep stop in the Chimney, I noticed it gone. I think that I lost it on the return.
Dwayne,
I've spent many hours in LR, & it remains a peeve of mine. The currents running thru the chimmney may very well have it laying near the bottom of that slot. I'm not promising this over night, but I will make a concentrated effort over the next several weeks to look for it, & I would be happy to find it & return it to you. Please tell your beloved wife to be patient. In time, it will turn up, believe this-!

Yes, the wife has been understanding.... I guess she figures I've beat myself up enough over it.

Just so you feel better...
I think I'm on my third wedding band now (in 10 years) ... same wife though...
I'd fidget with them and lose them or take it off and lose it- took me FOREVER to get used to having a ring on my finger...
she's pretty easygoing... :)
Good luck finding it - or do what I did and just go buy another to match if you get too frustrated.. :-D

Good look finding your wedding band. Luckily your wife is understanding, otherwise it could be a very cold Christmas!
I retired mine to a drawer, so it can’t fall off my finger. I haven’t lost it yet!

Hey I know what your going through, the most understanding wife still gets "upset" when you loose "the Ring" . My wife and I finished a dive at Littlle river then headed home, only a 20 hour ride, well I go to get my ring from the hiding place in the truck, because diving with it on is a No No, since the hand tends to shrink along with other "parts" in the cold water. So I'm looking for this ring and can't find it, Oh well I've lost it...Dam.....Actually I think I was more upset than she was. .Since we are driving a rental vehicle, I decide to Really check through it once we get home and unload all the gear.....Well low and behold I find it!!!!!stuffed it the very bottom of the back of the seat. Well I was Happy and the wife was really glad that I found it, so needless to say we were both Happy and as they say making up is the Best part of it all!.
but for a side Line an old friend tells us her husband "Lost" his ring on an airplane. Question why would he take it off in the first place..um? Needless to say he is now an Ex-husband.....
But I do hope that you or someone on the board finds your ring!
Good Luck!

Dwain you missed the first rule, before entering any type of cave you should take off your wedding band. It makes the whole "diving" more carefree and with less guilt.
Anyway, I went all the way to Florida room (through Mery go round) right after you guys left, and I did not really see anything lieing on the mainline. I think that metal detector will be a good idea.
Good Luck.
Dwain. I've have pretty good luck so far finding things. Next time I get a chance I'll run through Little River and see what I can find. Sounds like conditions are terriable though and who knows when it'll be 70F out again (thank goodness for the warm spell we had Wed.)
Good Morning Dwayne,
I just read your reply & will enjoy diving with you. I also sent you an e-mail. Next week, from Wed on I'm free & have nothing planned, so we could do some diving if you like. I've enclosed my phone number in the e-mail, so give me a call. {early morning or late at night is best}-!
See you soon

There is a diver out there who duct tapes over his ring. It looked like a great idea to me. If you're the kind of guy that loses things like keys and rings if they are not on your person you might try duct taping yours on too (when you get the new one - or someone finds the original). Good luck!

I appriciate everyone that is looking or planning on looking for my ring. I was planning on heading over to LR this AM but with a sore throat I didn't think being out in the cold would be good for it.
Those going to the CDF Social... See u there.
Happy Holidays

Glad to hear that the ring was found and returned to you Dwain 8)
Ok Dwayne,
Now you have to let your little wife Super-Glue it to your ring finger, so it never falls off again-! Wow...what a drama-! Anyways, we're all glad you got it back. I'm on my way up shortly, as soon as I make my bank deposit.....Should be in Ginnnie shortly after noontime. My car looks like a tank. Never had so much gear in in it before. Sure hope the ground is solid at Ginnie-!
See ya all soon

I received an email from a cave diver from Canada this morning. His name is Phil and he said that his wife found it just past the 2nd "T". They were down between the 24th to the 27th and staying at Rennakers accomodations.
A Thousand Thanks Phil
