I have two volunteers so far...............................anybody else? This is going to be a huge event.......................so far 14 vendors and 3 more top name speakers that I will disclose soon!

Plus, the Fire Side Chat, the exhibits, and the Cinematic Events will all be "Open to the Public."

I have voluntered several times to help with events, and never had anyone follow up (and yes I have sent e-mails to several comittee chairs).

That is great that you can help out for the 2008 NSS Convention..........................if your around in May, we could use your help for the 2008 NSS-CDS Workshop! ;-)

O.K., so far I have Dick who volunteered to be the Fire Side Chat Picnic Chairman, and I am sure that he will need help cooking hot dogs and hamburgers..........and pouring refreshing beverages. You can email Dick at rlc5925@aol.com.

Other potential volunteers are Miranda & Tim, and George.

We will need help for the registration table, helping to set up and take down, working with the vendors, selling raffle tickets, a gopher for running errands when needed, someone to make popcorn for the cinematic events, and to give a presentation to the public on Sunday on Cave Diving and Cave Diving Equipment. Also, I will need someone to answer questions by the public, coordinate the Naval/Marine Corps Color Guard, and assist with our government officials that will be attending with the Park Managers and Land Owners.

That is all that I can think of for the moment.

And I am very pleased to say that the Navy Experimental Dive Unit will be exhibiting too.

I can work at least one day. I would also like a spot to put Sheck's gear for display. The CDS ownes it and I would like the member's who can't see it here get a chance to view it and some photos I have. Cindy Butler

Kim and I are in for Friday night / all Saturday. The Ramada is letting us keep our dogs there :) Let us know what you want us to do !

Thanks Cindy! How would you like to be our "CDS - Press Chairwoman?" We are planning huge media coverage at this event, and I need someone to work with the local media, press, and television folks.
