Attention to ALL!!! 900 ft of NEW gold line was placed yesterday. The NEW gold line is going upstream from Catfish Hotel. The goal in the coming weeks is to replace the line all the way to Friedman Sink. We will be putting dubble arrows at the half-way point between Catfish and Friedman, along with other distance markers. We also placed 2 new warning signs, one upstream and one downstream. The old line was in very poor condition and brittle in mutiple places. If you have any questions, please contact Dan Patterson. His phone number is in the NSS, NACD instructor listing.
There will be a report when the project is done. BIG thanks to the people and sponsors who helped out.
Thank You Sonny

Awesome. I have been to the cavern at Manatee, but have not arranged a cave dive there yet. This may push me to jump in there and have a quick look next time I am in that area.
Thanks to all you guys who work to make these caves as safe as possible.

It was needed. Thanks to everyone involved.
I am going to miss those creepy signs however, they implied: "If you can read me and your
not supposed to be here, get out of here." and "If your allowed to be here, look at what
this cave did to me." Hopefully the old signs are still around. We could put them 20ft. passed the new signs as "NO KIDDING" signs.
thanks again
Chris

The last time I was in there it was like swimming against a fire hose!! What a blasting flow it was. I am sure the line work was not easy with all that flow. The Gold line was in poor shape and the signs were all but un-readable. This work was due!!
My thanks to all the team members for completing this much needed work. I'd also like to thank the CDS for donating the Gold line and the new signs. Many thanks to the Manatee Springs Park managers who welcomed the team to do the work.
