The Luraville Store is closing their deli now at 2:30 (that means no sandwiches are being made after 2:30) so plan your dives and lunch accordingly. There aren't many resturants open Sundays in Mayo, I'd hate to see you guys hungry when diving.
Janet
PS I do not know why-however they had considered closing the deli all together-so I feel we should take what we can get.
PSS Taylor's Store has great fried fish on Fridays.

This news is almost as bad as Telford.... I sometimes drive to Luraville just for the sandwiches.

The reduction of traffic from the closing of Telford has affected their bottom line. Cavedivers are not enough traffic to keep it open obviously...

That's sad! There's nothing quite like a good slaw-dog burp half-way up the Peanut Tunnel.

Guess we'll just have to make sure to get in there earlier!

Thanks for the update, Janet.

Shirley (don't go nominating me just yet!)

Thanks for the heads up. A trip to Peacock is not complete without a Luraville Country Store sandwich! Their hamburgers are tasty too.

Somebody should talk to Cathy about setting up a sandwich business if the Luraville store closes. She's a great cook!!

i highly recommend the chile cheese dogs. 2 after a morning dive saves alot of money wasted on argon for the dry suit. never never underestermate the heating power of methane...................

That scares the hell out of me, the only drysuits made of completely non sparking and therefore nonmagnetic materials are specially made for some navy EOD divers that have to deal with modern magnetic mines. I don't have one of these suits and am too scared to eat more than a pint of great chili before a dive. The possibility of a drysuit detonation doing enough damage to the cave to make an exit impossible is, IMHO, too high.

Have the dry suit "O2 Cleaned" before each chili dive & It will be fine................

The deli hours are being cut until sometime in Jan. They are going to add something to the back (the girls weren't to clear on what is going on). The store is not closing-they have quite a mortage to pay on the place.

Janet:
I kind of heard the same thing this last weekend. Something about a remodeling going on. And they were not quite clear on what was totally happening.
So we shall see what happens. :D
