Mayo, Florida's long-range forecast calls for snow on Christmas Day. I'm not making this up. Look at http://www.weather.com/activities/recreation/golf/weather/tenday.html?locid=USFL0306&from=search_10day
Maybe the link will work, maybe not.

There are always flurries every year (snow that melts as soon as it hits something), but true snow hasn't happened in a long time.
I can try to bring some down with me when I come Saturday. We are to have 6-8 inches Tuesday and Wednesday this week. Anyone? how much?

I'm thinking we will stick with the snow flurries but appreciate the offer...
;-)
Oh I understand, I was just trying to be the nice guy that I am and thought I should share with you all down there. Not trying to be mean or anything, just thought I would ask first.
Now that it ws answered to keep just flurries, I will try very very hard to keep it all up here. I have already talked to the weather people and told them to keep it up here so that I can have a smooth drive down. But, yes I said but. If it does more, then it is not my fault and we can blame it on anohter person. Right WJH. You got the blame on this one.

On (starting) 23 December 89, we had BEAUCOUP snow in Jax...during the 24 hours of the 23rd, I saw ALL forms of precip...including snow fog, sleet, ice pellets, and snow itself...shut the town DOWN! ...few ventured out until the day after Christmas...I had ice form in my boat slip in brackish water...
I seem to remember a dive in Jan or Feb of '80 or '81 where I dove P1 in snow flurries...51 had ice in MANY places...
