One of the most exciting things to do in cave diving is to find new passages where few if any have ever been. Dangerous, maybe, but only if you're not careful & methodical. Calculate, then execute, but don't take un-necessary risks-! At the mouth of Little River, where it flows out into the Swaunnee, immediately down, & to your left{approximately 20'}I discovered what appears to be a cavern underneath the bank of Little River-! I never had the gumption to explore it by myself, but maybe if there are a couple of diehards out there, who are interested in checking it out while in the area, they may discover a whole new system or another entrance to LR. It is high volume current, and somewhat scary because you are bucking the Swaunnee river too. If you decide to ck it out, and find what I thought may be an entrance, it will be a whole new side to Little River, that none of us ever even thought of exploring. Good Exploring & be Safe-!

Last spring, Seaghost and I allowed ourselves to drift out the run after a dive (after dumping our doubles, of course), and we ended up drifting over the spot you refer to. She was only Intro at the time, so that precluded any investigation.

But by coincidence, we're diving there just before New Year's, so I might take a peek inside.
