Get in touch with Cliff Sifton from SFlo. He is on the E-Divers list. I think he might also be on CDF and/or TDS. He goes to the Bahamas all the time. He has posted a lot of info on logistic using day cruise to get to/from the Bahamas from/to Ft Lauderdale.

You might want to be more specific What island are you planning to go to?
GB has great diving and you can take the Discovery Cruise ship out of South Florida. Then get with Unexco. If you are going to Treasure or Marsh Harbor then Bryan is the guy from all accounts and you gotta fly.
