.... I'm pretty free that week; looking for a weather window when it won't be TOO stupid cold. Probably can only get one day away, but can make it a long one.
Anyone interested? Thinking of checking out a new video light rig if I can get the light mounting stuff all figured out before then; Hole would be perfect for its inaugeration, I suspect, although JB is an option too.

My paper, which is all but completed and ready to submit, is due Sunday. After that no more class assignments to worry over until January 8) I've got this new 21w HID just begging to get wet. Sometime next week I also expect to have a couple of Chuck Noe's Photon Torpedo back up lights that will be just as anxious to see some pond water :D

Cool.
I have THREE new 21w HID heads here - one dive light head, and two video heads - all three need a good soaking in some pond water
Let's figure out some time to give 'em their due.....

Dude, that definitely sounds like the makings for a must show them the trash room and other far off sights 8) After this Sunday I am free any day and I am quite sure that Edd is anxious to see me drain all that stale gas from my tanks so he can refill them for me. Let me know when when and I will be there. My poor SS is so sad these days just sitting here all charged up with no place to go.

Ya, the trash room would be cool.....
I have to figure out how to carry a stage and potentially sling the camera. I've got the camera sling set up as I use that all the time, but I don't think it will work with a stage slung as well, and going back beyond the mud tunnel, for me anyway, means slinging AL for "oh ****" protection.
And, of course, figuring out how all this works with different light mounting, which has to be figured out too. The video reflectors from Sartek should be here today, and then its time to start working on the light kit mounting....
Will keep 'ya posted - I brought my 26 with me last weekend expecting you and John would give me an excuse to soak it, but it ended up sitting all forelorn and unloved in the truck instead

Any idea which day you might be going up? It's been a long time since I dove it and would like a re-visit.

Waiting to make a decision based on weasther... looks like Tuesday might be the best option; its supposed to rain the rest of the week, and I'm trying to avoid that "29 degree" stuff that's being predicted!

ROFL!
Heh, it was the best and easiest way I could come up with to get the trim right. Those lightheads threw the trim to hell on the housing, and a heavy camera is the LAST thing you want (been there, done that, it'll throw YOUR trim in the water)
Still need to work on the attachment of the "buoyancy cylinders" a bit, but it trims good (neoprene won't work as it will crush at depth - you need a solid something that is buoyant - that 1" PVC has a 400 psi rating - deeper than the housing :-))
Unfortunately my primary that plugs into the same cannister is acting up - going to see what I can do about that, although I could always just bring both cans and do it that way... kinda a PITA, but possibly workable.

Hate to do it, but if anyone was planning on going up tomorrow on my account I just had my plans changed (not by choice). Maybe after Christmas.

Well my kid managed to get sick a couple of days ago - and give it to me.
I'm still a bit out of it, and won't be there tomorrow. Am still hell-bent on getting there over the break though one way or another.

Give me a yell when you are healthy, I might be able to break away in all the chaos that is about to ensue over Christmas. Might be able to get a dive in and no one will notice I was gone.
