Returning from dive to replace line in deep section below 40 m, rebreather became impossible to breathe from (later identified as water in scrubber). Bailed out to open circuit (Nitrox-35) at -25 m (400 m from base) and complete rest of dive including decompression on this.
Learning points: adequate bailout was carried although the ability to breathe OC from O2 supply for decompression would have been an advantage. Install facility to drain scrubber in event of flood.
