Up hill 400, intended jump to swim double lines circuit, starting at double arrows. Premature jump up a gap reel line to siphon tunnel. buddy following, proceeded to left of line and entered a very low and wide bedding plane, line seen up in ceiling but could not tell where it went. Proceeded with line not visible to see if could find where or if line continued. complete brown silt out, 0 viz, turned to direction of entry. Look for light of buddy hoping he is not right behind me in the midst of the cloud. Excellent buddy as he held line before proceeding. Saw his light beacon, exited tunnel dove up 400 to bats, shortcut, roller coaster exit.
Buddy stated line was tied off to ceiling. Should not have been more than arm distance from line in unfamiliar location, should have tied jump reel or exploration reel on existing line. Buddy was preparing to tie off safety reel to locate me but I emerged.
Thats the kind of experience you just can't prepare for in a class but has lots of valuable lessons.
