James Hurley has no plans to offer any more workshops any time soon. How about anyone else? I've been self-teaching and am ready for an instructor.

I'd be interested as well.

Sorry about that...I wasn't trying to endorse nor opine...Just providing options.

Rule #6
No personal opinions or endorsements (negative or positive) about other individuals, cave diving related businesses and organizations.

Whoever editted the post (MOD). Please contact me (PM). I am curious why one name was taken out and not the other (first post lists a name as well).

Yeah, seems like simply stating the name of a potential person who could offer a workshop does not entail an endorsement or an opinion one way or the other....

but please pm the name and contact info; i got here after moderator blacked out the info.

Skip- are you trying to get underwater survey down? Chrissy and I would be happy to give you a class. In Cow Crap. That needs survey.

heehee

No really, we could easily set up a class in Nashville or somewhere better (like the panhandle???) and cover both dry and wet survey in one fell swoop, with a little electronic number crunching to boot.

Dang it, I need to look at the dates on these posts. Sorry guys.
Offer is still open, however.

And Skip, if you'd like to get Mike or someone we could go survey a small cave somewhere close. There are plenty that need to be done.

BTW - Cow Crap was flowing too hard to get into today.

Yes, I posted that awhile ago. However your offers sound good - almost had a survey class with you guys in snail shell (with a mini-class in the house).

Odd you should respond to this now. I am off to Florida to do a survey class with Michael Poucher. Billy Fowler emailed me about two months ago to set it up. I've been reading books (On station! - dry caving survey, and basic u/w cave surveying by j. burge) in preparation. I also downloaded marbry's piece from scc (?) or was it tcs? I have a slate with compass and computer mounted on it and a tape measure (but have lately found a smaller one, round, enclosed, stainless steel body, fiberglass tape, that looks easier to carry and use).

But when I get back from this class, it would be fun to get a class with you two together! I'm pretty sure we could get Shirley to join in, and Mike too. But let's wait for one of those warm winter days - when water can not freeze!
