Sorry this is last-minute. I just got it today.

Many of you have received ongoing emails from Chad Taylor regarding the development of the agenda for this first kickoff meeting, the Apalachicola River Exhibit – opening tonight – and other pertinent information to all of you interested in environmental stewardship and education about Jackson County’s wealth of natural resources.

This is the first email with the agenda attached for the meeting on September 21. Also attached is the link to the Chipola webpage with directions and a campus map. The meeting will be held in the Arts Center and there is parking nearby, on the circle, and across the street at the University Center facility. I do caution you not to park where there is painted green curbing or in handicapped spaces unless you have a designation to do so. If you do park in one of these areas you may be ticketed and we would not want that! http://www.chipola.edu/cjcloc.htm

We have spoken with Mr. Edwin Blitch of the Jackson Hospital / Morrison’s Cafeteria food services and they will be prepared to provide lunch in the college cafeteria to all who wish to eat on campus. Typically, a “meat and 3” is about $4, and there are grill items, soup, and salad available as well.

We will have coffee and water available in the Arts Center that morning and Margie Williams of our Continuing Education and Professional Development department will be on site with sign up sheets. Please remember to invite your friends and neighbors, and be sure to update your email address if necessary at the signup table.

If you have questions about the meeting or our campus, please email Dr. Shimmel or myself. Thank you,

JV Mathis
