View Full Version : V-Planner on a PocketPC

When I got V-Planner, it of course came with four copies, so I put one on an old notebook computer that my mother had given me when she got a new one. But on the website it showed the PocketPC version, and I thought that would be really convenient for taking out on a dive boat.

But I didn't own a PDA. But ever the cheapskate, I figured there was some way to do it. Enter eBay. I found a guy that was selling HP ipaqs new-in-box, every twelve hours, starting at $55.

Rather than wait for one that ended in the middle of the night, I went ahead and paid $61 for one that ended right away. Since I already owned V-Planner, they sold me the PocketPC version for $45.

So for a little over a hundred bucks, I can take V-Planner wherever I want, and without having to lug around a notebook computer. Plus, I'm getting a few other uses out of it. The calendar function is very convenient, as is Pocket Excel. But one great thing is I bought a 1Gb SD card at Sam's, so the ipaq takes the place of an iPod.

BTW, the PocketPC version of V-Planner is almost identical to the PC version.
