I just recently purchased a Gavin scooter, and I would like to modify the trigger assembly somehow to incorporate a lock down of some type that would hold secure yet easily be disengaged. Are there any DIY web sights out there that cover this topic? Thanks, SrScubalot
I was under the impression that you didn't want the switch held on due to the possibility of a runaway.??
If you want a cheap and easy fix try some bungee tied around the handle in a circle. Slip it on the switch to hold it down and if done right a slight flick of your fingers should slide it off.

In my opinion a runaway is not an issue at all. If the scooter would happen to stick on you merely have to stop the prop with your hand and depitch the prop all the way down to the lowest setting. This makes the scooter easily managable.
The bungee does work great on the old style Tekna scooters, but the newer Mako handles are designed differently and a bungee does not work well at all because the bungee keeps rolling off the trigger.
Thanks for the input though!
