:cry: Damm Eyetalian is heading back to his motherland. If you ever had the opportunity to meet and dive with this fellow you would have to agree he is an excellent person and cave diver. Basically got his intro cert right before the last CDS workshop and now by the time he is leaving ,the man has made multiple 4 hour plus solo scooter dives at Jackson Blue and Ginnie Springs, in fact been to the end of the line and then some at both locales. Countless swimming solo and team dives with some of the best cave divers in Florida. Finished off with a 2 hour plus dive at Eagles Nest yesterday and is heading to South Fla for some final wreck dives with no one other than Tom Mount . Before you all say too much too soon realize that he is military diver in the Italian navy (temporarily in Florida training in EOD with the US Navy) and he is an avid wreck diver , uw videographer, master scuba diver trainer and zillions of other certs. Only dives with his rebreather and backup bottles of course. Anyways ,Gabrielle its a pleasure to be friends , thanks for the awesome dives, advice and laughs. I will miss you bro. Take care !

Hey Gabry!!!
Thanks for the great dives and great memories in FLA! I really enjoyed the chances to hang out and you taught me a TON about CCRs which I really appreciate! I can only hope to one day become as experienced as you with mine.. hope to catch you in the ATL airport on your way as we discussed and have a beer or such on your way to back to Milan and say bye in person... Be sure to frequent these boards and let us all know how your marathon dives are going in the Med. :) Making and knowing good friends like you is most of what makes this activity enjoyable for me and I wish you all the best!

Have a safe trip home Gabry and stay in touch. Perhaps one of these days you can show Herbie and myself the sights on your side of the big pond. You have been a true friend from the first time we met and I will surely miss diving with you.
Ciao for now for friend,

Hey Gabry! I really enjoyed meeting you & thanks for the show & tell on your rebreather. I've always found those things both fascinating & a little scarey. Maybe one day! Hope you find many more adventures down the road! Take Care. :wink:

Italy, November 16 2004
I just get back home.
The weather is pretty cold (+4 Celsius)... everything looks different.
In my heart I will keep the memory of a beautiful time spent in Florida;
My experience overseas was absolutly positive.
With this message I would like to say Tank You to all the people that met me and that helped
me during the period that I spent in a foreign country.
Almost all the person that I met was excellent persons, very nice and polite, always ready
to help me when I asked to.
I am going to miss Florida, the States, the beautiful caves and dive sites, and the divers
and people from that area.
I learned a lot not only from my instructor but also from anyone I had the pleasure and honor
to dive with.
My training in the US NAVY was very interesting and really usefull for my career;
For my job was important and I hope to work again soon with US soldiers and sailors.
Herbie thank you for what you wrote; You were one of the first cave diver I met in
Florida and for sure your help (since when I was in Texas!!) was incredible.
You are a good friend, I am sure we will dive again together!
John (resolute) was really a pleasure to meet you and dive with you. I wish we could dive
more times together since you were the only Inspiration Diver that I met in 6 months
of diving!
Keep in touch and try to plan a no-bubbles dive together for the near furure
(maybe in Italy!).
DeWayne... good time together... was fun to use your OC equipment after many months of
total CCR dives! Thank you again for your help and... enjoy your new scooter!!
I should list hundreds of names in this message... It is simply impossible!
anyhow, just a couple more...
Chris... we had a great time together and thank you for all the stuff you tought me about cave diving;
Edd (Sorenson) GREAT GREAT DIVES TOGETHER!!! thank you first of all because you taught me
how to scooter!; thank you for your prefessionality and your friendship.
I am looking forward to do others great dives together! (remember the wrecks in Italy....)
Jon, Alan, Eric, Richard, Jeff, Johnny, Buck, and many many others....
too many to write all the names here!!
I wish all the best for all of you
keep diving safe!!
see you soon
