I am looking at a Farralon MK III in VG condition - never flooded etc., etc. I would, of course, like to go with a Gavin or SS, but can't justify the exp. now with tuition for 2. For recreational scootering, what would others suggest? Appollo AV 2, AV 1, Mako, Used Mk III, or something else? Again, two grand plus is out of range.

I have used the Mark III, and they are ok. Mako is much more popular for cave diving though. If the price is right, get the Mark III. You can always sell it later.

i have an apollo i'm looking to sell. it's been well used, mildly abused and runs great. modfied for deeper running it's been to 250 without any problems. has some scratches, but nothing other than cosmetics. like 500 + shipping cost. comes with battery and charger.
