View Full Version : Cow main line & pull rope

Main line was broke at the fissure where you descend to 100 ft. It has been repaired (by someone else) with a piece of white nylon. Use caution.

Pull rope is frayed (one strand completely broken) about half way in.

The NSS-CDS (owner) has been made aware of this, and will be doing repairs soon.

Hopefully they'll use some good braided nylon rope... ski rope was fine but it floats too much... :D

A work party is being planned for line replacement. This time gold line will extend well past the drop down,plus repair to the poor man scooter.

FYI, the Cow work weekend was April 8-9, and the line was replaced.

Line was replaced and 100ft markers were added to 1900ft. The end is at about 1960ft.

There is still a little cleanup left after 1500ft. Kelly is aware of this and there is a plan to do the final work at a later date.
