The rivers are starting to fall as has the levels here at PSSP.
Reported viz is 75-100' at Orange and 50-80' at Peacock-lots of divers in the water at PSSP is reason for some of the viz being down a bit.
I'm told Little River is open; a permanent rope is run through the tannic water into the cavern where it is clear; about 6' viz on the rope; great inside the system. Ginnie is as good as ever....

Thanks Janet, great news :-)

Thanks Janet. Any information on Telford?

Telford was blown on Saturday when I was down there. It was flooded as can be.
According to:
http://www.tampadiving.com/sections/diving/cave_systems/system.asp?ID=78
Scott M. wrote a report from yesterday saying "Telford is toast." It apparently hadn't changed in 2 days either.

Little River was great on sunday. 6' on the rope? Yeah right! I could hardly see my hand on the line. Pretty nasty, but once you get inside, the vis is spectacular. Very dramatic when it finnaly clears up.
Peacock was nice on sinday, too. The flow was almost undetectable.

6" is a little more likely. Every so often I got to catch a glimpse of my buddy's fin before it clocked me upside the head.
Amazing how great a dive can be even when you have to actually swim to get out!

Now don't get nasty on me, I reported what I was told by a diver who dove it Sat., the ex northern diver felt the viz on the line was 6'.
I can tell what part of the country you guys reside just by asking what the viz is like in PSSP, it's always better with the people from the north, those from the south are just spoiled by the crystal clear water you're used to.
Happy diving! :kittye

i was in P3 on Monday, and it was incredible. viz was about 50 feet, and the system seems to have a slight spring instead of its usual syphon.

Light green, dark, florescent, mint? So many choices.....
We'll go 100% cotton this time around.
On the weather subject, it's raining here now & is to rain all
day Sat. with 1 to 2 inches possible, time to start construction
on those GA dams-KIDDING!

Yeah!
Can you do the black in cotton also?
On a side note, I noticed this past weekend that the gold line running through the peanut tunnel is frayed. Looks like it might need some attention soon.

Can you put that in the "line" forum? Maybe with exact location.

Well Scott likes those LOUD colors but I like the forest green, in fact I am wearing my PSSP map in forest green now...
On viz: it depends on how it's reported. Some divers think viz is how far they can see their buddies' light....
:D
Peacock was great yesterday, went to the Crypt and it was all very good throughout. OG was fine after waiting a couple of minutes, a class was going and they were a tad silty, not bad but you could tell where they went.
Dive safe,
