Can anybody recommend a sewing machine\tools that would be good for for harness webbing and thick materials like cordura and laminates? Do they make them compact sizes like for a quick repair works?

I have (had) a Juki industrial machine I used to make harnesses. It had to be modified a lot to handle webbing.

The best bet is a "walker" type machine. They are used at upolstry shops, etc. The presser foot moves (walks), just like the "dogs" that move the material from below. That way heavy stuff, like webbing, can be pulled at a steady rate.

For "quick repair work" an awl works pretty well.

FWIW, my Juki is at TJ's moms right now, making the line arrow quilts :-)
