Hackers got to the forum. This is an old copy of the database.

Members since the 1st of the year don't "exist" anymore :(

TJ has gone out for the day, and will try to repair the database tonight.

It is possible that anything posted until then will also be lost.

Oh no thats too bad. I dont understand these people that get off on wrecking things. Some people just have too much time on their hands and want to spend it wrecking things for other people. Hope you're able to bring it back.

I told TJ that IIS is not a good webserver to use, along with any other product on windows... :(

If you guys want help to transition to linux/apache/mysql, let me know...

I have some of the words or letters in this forum are green now and actually are hot keys. Each time I scroll over them the word "best" comes up like on this page it is best font and also best emoticons any ideas?

Been diving all day, going to eat and then check out restoring some things. Note, any new users (since Christmas day) may need to register again... if we can't recover (clean) the user database... I think I'll go diving again tomorrow too... :roll:

Going diving again tomorrow is the best response.

BTW, I thought the mice were going to inherit the earth, according to "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy".

PHP is particularly succeptable to this kind of malarky....

Hope you can restore the data, but more importantly, I hope you identified how they got in and put a stop to it - or they'll be back......

I couldn't login for a while until it dawned on me. I recently changed my email addy & pw and the system didn't recognize me due to the fact that I changed everything since the last update.

FYI, if there was a post or topic someone really wanted us to get back, not a problem to find it in the 'corrupted database', then to copy and paste into a new topic... Just let me know what it was... If there was some crap posted on the forum... then the hacker did us a favor... :roll:

We added back the lost users, and you should have been notified of that by email. If you were one of those few, please log in and update any other optional information lost on your profile, ie: location, hobbies, occupation and avatar. Thanks to all of you that added their own username back before we could get to it!
