Hi guys, I am new here and I would like to know if will be any interest in a piece of kit that I have developed.
It is a rechargeable torch based on the Maglite 3 "D" 12 1/2 inches long, with a run time of 40 minutes and with an output of 951 lumens.
I have modified the stock switch and implanted a base and columms to support a ceramic socket for bi-pins super-bulbs.

I have exchanged the plastic reflector for a hevy walled solid parabolic aluminum reflector with Orange Peel texture, replaced the pastic for a Pyrex lens.
I have three differents battery holders for this light, ( to cover different budgets) the power source are nine high capacity high current Nimhs batteries.

Or this plug and charge using a RC charger

The lumen output is almost double than the vaunted Surefire M-6 (The ex-most powerful flashlight in the world)
and as it is rechargeable those lumens are for FREE.
Here are two beamshots with the light coming from 43 yards away (the camera is at 15 yards)
Surefire M-6 (500 lumens)

MAG 951 II rechargeable torch (951 lumens)

What I want is imput from you guys if this light will interest the caving community, The light is as waterproof as a regular Maglite.

Cones have recently done a review of this light in British Blades, here is the link:

Best regards
