Did the other post get pulled or something?

AJ, not sure you will find may takers here. You might want to try scubaboard. Have you given any thought to taking Intro instead?

Well you put that very diplomatically Deep. I was thinking the same thing.
AJ nothing against those guys and if that is the way you want to go have at it.

Honestly, I'm not interested in the politics of diving. And it did get pulled, apparently. Its a shame that I was censored like that. I'm here to have a good time, and I posted in the hopes that someone looking for the oppertunity would take advantage of it.

Right now, I don't want to take intro. This will be a good learning experience as well as a good indicator of my abilities and weaknesses. I'll take intro or cave 1 in due time. There is no rush, all the caves will still be there.

Actually, since this is a thread about "3 more slots open in a class", the thread should be moved to the Buddies section.

Other then that, there is no need for complete removal... Just a "relocate"... :-D

First of all, I had nothing to do with it. :D

The original post was considered for pulling because it sounded like a solicitation (Rule 2). But it was decided the poster was probably a student, not the instructor.

Then a reply was posted that could be considered DIR-bashing.

Someone else pulled it before it got out of hand. There was all the makings of a flamefest.

I moved and edited it. This is soliciting for a class. Leave out the dive shop or instructor's name and simply ask if anyone is interested in taking a class, any class, and PM the poster for details and you don't break Rule #2.

Good luck (AJ is it?) in finding buddies. Your plans to take it slow is good. Turtles make better cave divers than rabbits.

Really? I haven't seen any dead rabbits in the caves. :)

Yeah, it did get pulled - but had nothing to do with the "politics of diving"
On this forum, as I found out, they are very sensitive with either knocking or endorsing specific agencies/instructors by naming them specifically. Naming an individual instructor or class is considered to be breaking Forum Rule#6, from what I have been told.

If it had to due with the politics of diving - your PM inbox would have exploded with mail. So, it definitely had nothing to do with that.
