...noticed Saturday that mine had cracked...no issue on diaphram...crack(s) appeared over the "pin" on underside...this reg set normally stays in a well-padded reg bag, never overstowed...

Heard of two similar events from some GA divers at the NACD confab...

Anyone else having these failures??

I've had it happen to one of mine. I wouldn't exactly call it a failure, though. The reg will still function perfectly....

The replacement part # is a RG1218 and retails for $2.10 You can get it in yellow, green, blue or black.

I have had it happen to mine Norm, twice. The first one was on my O2 rig and it had me wondering if that might be a cause, but then one went on a stage reg as well. I wound up buying a handful of covers and have not had it happen again since, go figure.

In your Esteemed & Valued Opinion, is buying one green and one Black spare enough to appease the 2nd stage reg God(s) ??

I got one of every color and that seemed to appease them, none of have cracked since.

I have a few of them, and this just happened to one of them. I don't treat mine nearly as nice, but it was the first one of my regs for this to happen to.
