OK, after making my morning rounds...water levels are still dropping about 5" per day my best guess???
Telford, black water, no boil but I'm going to guess it won't be long before it starts pumping, maybe another 3-4 days?? Just a WAG on my part. But it won't be diveable for sometime.
Peacock I, the parking lot is dry but most of the boardwalk is still underwater, I cannot get to the spring head w/o waiders.
OG, the duckweed seems to be moving away from the vent although no visible boil yet. The sitting portion of the bench on the lower landing is just barely underwater.
I managed to get over to Cow as well this morning... pretty ugly still, looks like a big dirty pond, can't even really tell where the vent is. The vegitation is growing back around the trail nicely and a turkey roosting in a tree was kinda cool.
I'll look at LR tomorrow on my way to Ginnie.

Thanks for the update Mike. See if you can get all that dirty water out of there before the conference in November. 8) Kevin Eckelkamp from a long ways away!

:D I did wade to Peacock One this morning, the water is less than ankle deep on the walkway now, I again want to thank everyone who worked on the walkway, otherwise the water would have been 1 to 2 feet to walk throught today. The great news is there is a very large boil at P 1, the top step has uncovered and with the fog & haze I could still see 6 steps down and the water looks clean, it still smells in the woods though. I went to Telford also, UGLY the sinks are UGLY looking, sorry but it's UGLY.
Then there are the bags of litter in the woods, hanging out of the trees.
The trash container is empty & all the trash is picked up there, maybe we divers should contribute money to the NACD for the trash service they pay to go into Telford on a regular schedule, I couldn't imagine what it would look like without this service. Just my 2 cents worth.
Janet :)

OK, as promised, I went to Little River on the way back from Ginnie. Ginnie was great!! The water is still pretty high but the wooden decks and about 3 steps are out of the water and the system is pumping clean water!! HAPPY DAYS!! I wish the news was as good for LR. The parking lot is still underwater...I couldn't believe it :smt107

No chance that could equate to less walking and more line laying? Can't blame a guy for hoping  Thanks for the update Mike.

How were the mosquitos? Two weeks ago they literally chased us back to the car at Peacock

THE SAME!! Except at Telford their all carrying little tiny cans of Bud Lite.
So that's what you call them...mosquitos! I thought they were some kind of migrating carnivorous bird that went off on a nut :axe:

I dropped by Troy and Little River yesterday before going to Ginnie. Both are still flooded of course, with the water at Troy still on the ramp, and the LR parking lot still under water. Ginnie is a few feet deeper, with tannic water about 10ft into the Ear, just about to the log.

As of 5pm 11/1, Peacock is pumping like I've never seen before!!! Water still very tannic but at least it's not muddy.
OG, the lower landing is out of the water, still black water but the duckweed is moving away from the vent. I saw no obvious boil.
Telford has dropped significantly since I last visited two days ago. There is a sustained boil now (last couple days it was there then not). Still pretty ugly but a huge improvement from just a couple days ago but don’t look to dive it anytime soon.
I'm hearing rumors that the powers to be might request the line committee to send a team into Peacock soon to evaluate. We all hope that we can dive it by the weekend...NOTHING SUBSTANCIAL but it's early in the week. I'm sure our PSSP friend Janet will post something soon one way or another. She has the "skinny" with PSSP.
I saw a post about LR conditions yesterday so there was no point in spending an hour going there.
I didn’t get by Cow, last time I was there indicated to me I didn’t need to go again anytime soon.
Hope this helps!!!
Fingers crossed for Peacock this weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WJH--- Doesn't it sound like much of our area that we dive up her with everything but forgetting to mention the cooler water we get to play in?

SLIM

Yup. Cooler water, more difficult accessibility, less crowds.

I'm cool with that trade-off.

Guess I should have moved to Missouri near Roubidoux rather than the the cave diving capitol of the world......NOT!
