Cow and other maps from NSSCDS

I'v just got several maps i ordered from NSS CDS: Peacock 1, Cow and Little River. From 3 only Peacock has a date of issue (and even that date is actually a date of copyright). Does it mean that approximate date of the last survey information can be read only from "at the end of a tunnel"? Like for example Cow map upstream shows ath the end P1823' 8/16/86 Hires, Jasper, Skiles D98' . Particularly about that tunnel i would like to ask divers if there is more detailed maps\sketches beyond P1823' upstream and P404' downstream and also with side passage? Is there more detailed sketches of places like Crypt and Handey's Castle? Is NSSCDS maps collection the most detailed and up to date source? Where else maps can be found? Also i wonder what Z (no-mount restriction??) and S marks are (found on some maps)?
