Cavern Diving Buddy Needed!

I just moved JAX from WI. and am currently NACD cavern certified. I am looking for a buddy to cavern dive Peacock, Manatee , Paradise etc.. I have considerable open water and wreck experince, but limited cavern/cave. I will be taking Intro. to Cave next month and these cavern dives are in part to refine skills for success in Intro. and other future cave courses. Thank you.

What Jammer said about no one wants to dive with "inexperienced" cave divers is what I also experienced at one time. My wife has her cavern certification right now and I will be glad to dive with you.

now thats what i like to see i was ow for like 6 years and had trouble finding a buddy had to go on boats and hope to get a buddy.
it was kind of humiliating gettin on the boat and saying no buddy need one.
hell when i went to the keys i wanted to do the thunderbolt i had to pay a guide for an additional hundred.
i might be looking jammer up in the future also.
if its ok with him.

I never really experienced that problem myself. Just showed up at the dive sites, let potential buds know my level of experience, and always managed to find someone who did not mind me tagging along. I learned a lot from those dive buds. It might seem hard trying to get someone to commit ahead of time, but typically if you show up you can usually find someone who will get wet with you at your current level. Just because you do not have a definite buddy lined up is no reason to stay home; go on down to the spring and introduce yourself. Hell, I have even dove with Jammer a time or two so that shows you that anyone can find a dive buddy (sorry Jammer, that one was just too easy :roll: )

Hey Jammer, I am planning to be down for the NACD wokshop next month (weekend of Nov 12.) I will be Helping Bill with the CDF booth on Saturday, but hoping to dive Peacock and/or LR on Sunday, possibly Monday. If you are going to be down and have nothing planned, keep me in mind.

I live in Lake City and would be happy to do a cavern or cave dive any time. I am available most weekends and have every other monday off. I am originally from Michigan and picked up cave diving after moving to cave country over a year ago. I am intro level certified. I would also be interested doing some diving of the Jacksonville/St. Augustine coast. Shoot me a PM if you want to go diving some time.
