Well friends/enemies I will miss you all. The time has come to change gears so my family and I are moving to Costa Rica. On Oct.3 God willing I will be going south to start a new adventure. We will be opening a Day Spa and some bungalows in Playa Avellanas, Guanacaste , C.R. I will post updates as to when we will be opening so please come visit us and enjoy a little PURAVIDA. Plenty of dry caves near us so eventually I will begin searching for wet ones. I hate to miss the Anti Social but I guess you cant be more Anti than not showing up at all. I relinquish the RoShamBo title to Sid since he was runner up, I leave the direction of the Florida Underwater Cave Dwellers (F.U.C.D.) to any member willing to lead anywhere and the newly formed Wacked Karst Research Personnel (W.K.R.P) is headed by co-founder the "Curator" Gary L. . Checkout W.K.R.P gear config pic below. Dive ,dive ,dive and please all take care of yourselves and each other. :-D

Man, that sucks. I've been training for the roshambo for months now, and I even have a stuffed dummy with your picture on its face to crotch kick! I've even had the wife, kids, mother-in-law, and neighbors kicking me in the nads in pursuit of the title. Anyway, I have never met you, but I wish you and your family the best.

Herbie-!
How can you do this to us-? Now, I am really disappointed that I won't get to dive with you in JB. Well, maybe someday we'll hook up & get to dive huh. I wish you the best, & remember one thing: Find yourselves the biggest overhead to duck into if another hurricane ever heads in your direction. {never I hope}
Take care of yours & yourself.
Your friend, forever.

THANKS TO ALL WHO POSTED replies, I appreciate the moral/mental support. I am here and my wife and girls will be arriving in three weeks. So far since getting here I have pulled out two stuck cars and got pulled out myself once by a bud. Its the rainy season so its freaking a mud pit but oh well it beats I-4 anyday. Living in a friends house temporarily while they visit the States and starting to build my love shack. I recomend to anyone wanting to come to Costa Rica to come from Dec.-April so its blue skys and sunshine everyday. I am near a town called Tamarindo on the NW Pacific side of Costa Rica. I hope to see some of you all in the future and please if anyone needs any info about C.R. send a p.m. and I will respond. Oh yeah JOE TEGG you are the ugliest caver I've ever seen (besides myself) even with a mask on I would throw you back and SEAGHOST yes things did take a turn on the niutty side after yall left, see what you missed :-D . I got a pet howler monkey now ,named him "SID" cause he has a resemblence to someone I know. I cant stop him from scratching his nuts, just like you Sid. Well I pray all is well for yall and please take care, PURAVIDA .

Thanks Herbie... That's a compliment coming from you... :-D
Keep in touch and send us pics of the love shack...
My wife and I may make a trip down there next year sometime to see Herbieville. :D
You've been there a couple days. Found those caves & sumps yet?

How far are you from Orosi? I'll be there all of next week taking Spanish classes. I can't wait - heard so many great things about Costa Rica.
Two questions:
Are there discounts for fellow hole swimmers?
and
Do you have a boat for trips to Roca Bruja on nice days?
Also, I haven't made it to Ollie's Point. Any suggestions?

Hello friends/enemies I have been rained in for the past week but now after getting tired of canned tuna with rice, we hiked out and here I am on the internet. My beautiful wife and kids could not fly out from Miami thanks to Wilma but everyone is allright so I give thanks for that. Good waves, cold beer and sometimes not so cold beer, great food and good people for the most part. I have been researching via asking locals and there seems to be plenty of dry caves with underground rivers so once the rainy season is past I should have pics and info. I miss PSSP the most, Eagles too. Take care all and dive, dive , dive... :-D

Herbie,
Where do you want me to send your UWS? They came in last night and I mailed them all out this morning. Did not know where to send yours.
Is TS Beta headed your way?

All is well in CR , the family is good and our house is almost completed. Good waves but no cave diving yet, the ocean has provided some good days with huge spotted eagle rays, bull sharks and tons of fish life. I am headed to a dive site named ¨Shark Cave¨...did I say ¨cave¨, well we will see next week. I deeply miss the freshwater springs of Florida and the good friends I have met from cave diving. I will be trying to get to an internet more often and check in. Remember ... dive, dive , dive and take care all. :-D

wow
Well, Herbie - even though I don't think I ever met you I will try to encourage you - the springs are still here waiting for your next visit. And, in case you missed it, we now have a cottonmouth at Ginnie striking at crotches. But I don't think we'd have to worry about you - I have a feeling you would come prepared, after all of those lashes you took from....I think DeWayne's cane, right?
I think someone told me about that there shark cave just a few weeks ago. Sounds cool. After you settle in, you will love your new home just as much. If you leave, you will miss it too. The diving there really sounds great. Lots of bull sharks and eagle rays huh? How about other sharks? I would be interested in hearing about all of the life you end up seeing there-let's see some dive reports
Herbie, when you come visit, you and your wife always have a place to stay with us in our guest room for as long as you need it. :D
Can't wait till you come back, we gotz lots of diving to do... 8)
Hope everyting goes good with the house and as soon as it's done Desirea and I wanna be your first guests... :-D
See you soon...
