Intro Level Dives in JB this winter.

Well, its getting colder again which means not so much ocean diving, and back to the caves for me. Since JB is always clear and close, are there any intro level divers out there that want to give it a go? At the moment Im single tanking it, but already have 30 or so cave dives, with 5-10 in JB. I live in Tallahassee, but happy to go east to dive when the flooding lets up.

Always willing to drive over to do JB. We've done it before - I'll even sling a "best buddy AL" for 'ya so you have full redundancy (even if I'm carrying it :) )

Edd will be quite happy to set you up, probably has one that you can try out or rent until you get your own. As for buddies, it's not that hard to find someone to do a dive with on the weekends at JB. I have just as much fun probing the cavern as I do the trash room. There are a lot of great divers doing JB and most will be happy to dive with you and share their experience.

I've got an extra plate (SS), and Stacy has a Diverite wing I bet she wouldn't mind if you used. Do you have the requisite regs? If so you're set.

Well, I have to work during the week usually, but I could probably take off wednesday afternoon. Ill just single tank it though. What do you think about going wednesday the 3rd at 1pm CST?

I might run into you there on the 3rd..... will be about the time I have to leave though - I have to be back to meet my kid when she gets home from school.....

My week days are kinda odd in that I can't get there until 10:30 or so and have to be out by 1:00 or so to make it home in time (with a bit of a cushion) so I can realistically only get one (decent length) dive in.

Due to that and the distance/gas in the truck if the gulf is good on a given day I usually choose to take the boat out instead.... yeah, I know, sounds stupid (boat burns more fuel than the truck does!) but I like the gulf diving too.....

Ok, no diving this weekend, but it looks like the next opportunity will be JB next weekend. I have a tennis tournament so no idea what my schedule will be, but well probably lose again so Ill be free to dive.

Saturday, Sunday? Anyone?

Interested in getting with you on a dive. Live over in Crestview so it takes me about 60-90 minutes to get there. Haven't dove JB in probably 20 years, but wouldn't mind going back and shooting some photos. I can make it singles or doubles, matters not to me. Will be passing that way on Wednesday AM and traveling back through the area on Sunday or Monday. I'm available most wekends unless it is nice out in the Gulf.

I dive dubs, but willing to dive with someone that is using a single - not a problem. I have an annual so its just a matter of getting away for me...

BTW flow is down bigtime and its gorgeous as usual.

There will be a somewhat large contingent there this weekend. You should be able to hook up with someone if you show up and ask around.
