Yup, dove Cannon Ball today. It all started one hot and I mean damn hot morning with temps in the upper 80's low 90's. I get this phone call from my buddy (WJH) that he is running late. Something about it took longer then he thought it would.
We get our stage and everything set up at the bottom of THE HILL. Those of you that make it up to the mini workshop next month and make the proper arrangements will get to be introduced to THE HILL.
We decided to do 1 long dive. Took all the jumps in there and even got to go down the Pit line some and look around. With the awesome vis of 45-50 foot we took advantage of it. There were still some parts that our HID's would not light up since they are so vast. I have never in all the years of diving this cave seen such great vis and what a beautiful dive it was. Almost like diving down in FL but the water was kind of cooler 58* instead of the 70* y'all are used to down there.
Yes, Starry, I did carry my stuff down THE HILL and back up THE HILL, without any help. I did think of you. I even thought of some others that I have heard have had mishaps going down some long hills
Well, enough of that stuff, dive was 54 minutes long with 5 minutes of deco. Dive and deco done on 30% (just some leftover stuff topped off)
Doug and Alan, since I am unable to make it next week for the NACD cleanup, I did pick up some trash around the place. I think that you all will do more diving then cleaning up. Unless a big bunch of screwballs show up between now and then, there is not much left. There was not that much to start with. Just watch out for the big Cat that likes to stir things up in front of you and the 2 dead ones in there.
