There are three steps left dry at Orange Grove and six at Peacock One.
The water level has dropped 4.5 inches since yesterday. You can see to the bottom of the basins, still a green tint to the water. There is a visible boil at P 1 this morning, I saw no boil last Saturday. Unfortunately we have a fairly good chance for rain this weekend, let's hope the rain misses GA. Happy diving!

I know it is a pain to have everything flooded out on us, but given the last draught that we just recently came out of I think that it is about time we started getting some water. It feels good to see the steps back under the water again. Don't worry though, the cycle will eventually repeat and we will once again find ourselves doing giant strides off the bottom steps at Peacock. Until then, take pleasure in knowing that the aquifer is be recharged finally.

Dove Peacock 1 and 3 yesterday. P 1 went and did a nice circuit by Cisteen, Olsen and back the main line, viz, very good, over 70ft give or take.
P3 was moving (well, for P3) and it was very good, viz was 20-30 but mostly because it is such a dark cave, the water was pretty clear. We entered at P2 and just floated to P3, less walk and easier entry IMO.
The water was right where Ms. Janet said.
Dove Orange Grove today (could not find an empty spot anywhere near P1-P3) this afternoon... the viz is excellent, good 70 feet +, went to distance tunnel and back on the gas left over from the attempt at Madison.
We did attempt Madison in the AM, it was open but there was no way to get into the cave, it was a ripping flow. The water level actually dropped almost a full inch from the time we arrived to the time we left. Maybe in about a week...
Safe diving.

I just looked at the river levels webpage, all the rivers in cave country are dropping :-)
Seems the tropical depression fizzled!

Dove Peacock this weekend. Four or five steps underwater. Basin clear, vis 30 to 40 with a lot of particulate in PI, seemed clearer from Peanut restriction back towards cavern with the flow. Olsen to Challenge very clear. Pretty decent flow to swim against in system.

Dove up as far as Cisteen via the Nicholson tunnel Sat. Visablilty wasn't good but adequate for safety. If I'm diving to sightsee, I'd avoid this area for a while longer.
