after a long haul from Brasil, I don't have the gas to pick up my gear in high springs then high tail it to Marianna for the big event, unfortunately. I'm still considering the trip to High Springs.
Anyone there? Would be looking for Saturday/Sunday as I'd have to book a flight down Friday and probably out on Monday.
looking to buddy - full cave, sidemount, swimming.....nice 'n easy.

Saturday I will be at JB, but Sunday I have no plans. I will be staying at the Cadillac, and would be happy dive either in High Springs, or Luraville. Full, backmount, kicking.
If you are interested send me a PM. It may take me a while to reply. Friday I have business in Jacksonville that I am finishing up.

I wish I was going to JB!!! I flew in early to go but I'm out of steam. If I find someone for Saturday in Luraville/HS, I'll fly down tomorrow and will drop you a line Mark.

I'm moving on Saturday in Orlando. You KNOW you would rather fly in here and help than dive! :D

I've heard you live to serve, Shirley. NFC :) ...
ok update on dates....I'm not coming down this weekend but will look for Thursday & Friday of this week, 29th & 30th. nothing's changed - still full cave, still swimming, still sidemount. The only big thing I'm waiting on is Shirley to approve my log book for my Abe Davis (I achieved #100 after full cave like 6 months ago).
But we all know Shirley....

Hmmmm, the telepathic transport didn't seem to work. Might want to resend it ;)
But we all know Shirley....
Which one?

Is this by choice or to outrun a mob?

Well, my current neighbors have experienced the wonder and awe of my presence for the last five years. They've watched various and sundry cave diver types hanging out at odd hours, seen us carry a fully-inflated drysuit to the community pool and proceed to drown it, observed odd reels of line with knots in it being strung around and amongst various parking lot obstructions, watched as I was strung up in the green-area trees by a strange man wearing a skirt and carrying a large rock, noted the rapid ins and outs of large amounts of dive gear at 4am, watched with growing apprehension as various firearms, swords, machetes, and clubs were carried inside by a woman of multiple questionable personalities, accompanied by bags filled with lumpy heavy masses and large coils of heavy ropes. They've left said communal pool rapidly as said woman, dressed all in black trilam, neoprene hood, and smurf blue latex gloves, spent hours in 5 feet of water with all manner of scary and strange contraptions, shining lights that were no doubt signals to space aliens. They've winced visibly at her sounds of "Oops" coming from beneath her truck. Me paying appropriate homage to the full moon seems to set them on edge a bit. Lately, I've noticed the neighbor patrols seem really focused on my place in particular. I know they love me and will miss me terribly. But...it's only fair to move on and share the goodness that being my neighbor entails with a new set of neighbors, poor unsuspecting folks that they are. The new neighbors have no idea how much luckier they are....since I'll now have room for a compressor :D
