Giselle and I are planning a trip up the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of July. Probably best to avoid Ginnie that weekend... don't know about the rest. I figure Peacock should be OK, even if it is full of divers.

Anytime you want to dive Marianna area or Madison let me know. I am avialable most times. Out of town the week of the 4th but that is it. Can also do High Springs area but have to plan a couple days for it, Marianna, Madison are a day trip for me.

Big Mama and I will be up there 4th of July weekend doing intro dives (she just got her card a couple of weeks ago).

We will be doing Madison Blue, Little River and maybe Peacock.

You're more than welcome to come along.

We will also be up there the weekend after because we really want to see our favorite cave buddy, Tracy. She is probably the coolest person we know.

I'm always open to meeting up with new people for a dive or two. Plus I'm not too far from you here in Fort Myers.

Unfortunately, I don't get too much caving in during the summer, but will be up north the weekend of the NFSA Workshop August 20th.

Hey, Cave Brat. Don't be hijacking this guy's thread!

Besides, now that you're the big, bad full-cave diver, you won't want to do our wimpy little intro dives. She's not making it that far in these days...

I will be up there on the 3rd teaching a cavern class. I believe I will be doing a little diving with Greenwood while I'm up there but you are welcome to come along and cavern dive with me and my student. I might be able to swing another dive after I finish with her as well.

"Hijaking" sounds like a terroristic threat. I was merely addign a thought to your bubble (one that is CLEARLY already there).

And I looooove Big Mama (which reminds me of the Owl from the Fox and the Hound) and I would dive at any level with her : ) She's my favorite of your girlfriends. She protects me from your vulgarity : ) Plus I'd rather do one of her "wimpy" intro dives than one of your "wimpy" full dives.

Haha I'm so tough online.

Very funny guys. Actually laughing... Unfortunatly I cant do the 4th of july weekend. I am going to hit up Ginnie on the 15th -17th for a sidmount class and maybe some fun diving. Then also the next weekend (22-25) for some camping-n-diving. Intro'ers welcome. By the way, stupid question. Does Ginnie allow doubles intro divers? I heard they only allow full cave, or at least used to.

No they dont allow doubles without a basic cave card with the current doubles endorsement. Its only enforced at the waters edge though, and even then not all the time. I personally disagree with this since IMO a single tank doesnt belong in a cave but I guess they have their reasons.

What about if you carry the doubles wavier that your Instructor provided you with?
I was told that this would allow you to dive but have not had any issues the last time I was down there.
Coarse I have been diving SM and understand the reason for the rule so it really is not a big deal.

Present your doubles waiver at the office when you check in and you'll be fine.

John: Your cert card should state doubles... I don't think you will have any trouble. Even my temp card says "Intro to Cave w Doubles".

I called Ginnie and they told me that if you have a C card stating "intro in doubles", you are allowed to dive there. Since intro in doubles is an expiring cert (NACD), they know you are training. Intro in a single tank is not allowed as far as I know. If they through a fit, I'll float down the damn river and hit it...

You'll be fine if you have a card that says doubles on it. You can also do intro dives with a single tank and an H valve. That is what Big Mama will be using this weekend, but I'm going to break her in on doubles pretty soon.
