Deep Sea Supply are manufacturing the Razor Side Mount System and bring their long track record and reputation for excellence and reliability in the manufacture of technical diving equipment.

The Razor Side Mount System has four components:

Each individual component can be purchased and used separately.
However as each component of the system was specifically designed to compliment and work with every other component the system will work best when the complete system is used together.

I think Steve is going to update the Gosidemount site soon and put prices and info etc.. maybe email him directly in the meantime to get more info.
By the way the new hardware on the Razor is really cool to in a class by itself really

It certainly looks like its going to be an excellent setup and enough lift for colder water/steel tanks which is cool.

I was never looking at the Nomads as I just dislike buckles all over the place etc and was instead looking at the armadillo but I'm curious/interested in this for sure.

Anyone have some in water pics showing the batwing inflated and how its "sits"??

I emailed him last week, and he asked me just to be patient for a little while longer while he gets the on-line store set up. I'm really looking forward to diving the new rig. I am so looking forward to the next trip to Playa!

I've been diving the new Razor and wing for the past two weeks in class with Steve. I was impressed with how well the system works.

I'm looking forward to setting up steel tanks and using it with a drysuit in Tahoe. Today is my first day back and it is snowing. Boo.

Merlin let us know how it does with steels. I've been diving my nomad with steels OW. I like the look if the Razor for use in Mx and AL tanks

Will do. The wing specs list 40 lbs of lift which should be sufficient for most tanks.

I've got a set of 108's coming that I'll try with it.

I have been diving for 2 weeks together with phill who has the new setup, I personally don't like much the new hardware, but the wing is very nice, the best one so far, I think it is designed mostly for AL tanks, you should be able to use it with other but might have to fill the wing too much and lose the "streamlineness" like it happen in the UTD wings.
the wing is a 40-45 I think, so, phill is diving overweighted with the video lights and still seen to be cool, but I won't fill it past something like half the capacity which is about perfect for several AL tanks at the same time.
I find myself the inflator hose excessively long, other than that what I have seen on the wing seems very cool

I dove the Razor2 with x7-120's yesterday (the used 108's came in but needed a hydro).

Gearing up on was a little less fun with than with alu80's but once in the water the rig worked well. We had initially discussed doing a quick dive to check things out but everything rocked and my buddies were game so we turned it into a 90 minute tour of Whalers Cove (Pt. Lobos, Monterey).

I left the low profile warm water D rings on and were able to use them fine with dry gloves. I did give myself an extra 3/8" on the tank clips so I can get my oversized glove rings between the tanks and my body. Smaller glove rings would help.

The only frustration I had was with using a helmet for open water diving. The backup lights are a bit of a kelp magnet. While I appreciated having a place to stash my light I think a goodman handle would have been more to liking.

Did I mention this was a scooter dive? Scootering in side mount offers a huge grin factor.
