Hi:
We are getting ready to come down and do some cave diving, But before we
Drive the 20 hours, can anyone Please tell me what is open and what is not?
I see Peacock is open and the systems up in Northern Florida and Manatee and good old Ginnie. But what about the rest?
Any information would be Greatlly Appreciated!! We are leaving on Friday night so I will be checking often.
Thanks in advance.

Peacock rules change: be out of the water by 5:00 year round.
Royal: closed, flooded and dark
Cow: open, basin clear but water dark, 10-30' vis, very dirty, expect 10' vis and to loose the line repeatedly on exit. Lines are grey/brown and heavily coated like everything else.
Little River: closed and diveways still under water.

The misquitoes are horrendous: bring a blood pack for an emergency transfusion.
Went to Peacock Friday - still dark and 20-40' vis.: dark and creepy - generally nasty.
Orange Grove is "springing" overflowing into Cisteen.
Distance Tunnel shows some promise and everything downstream of the distance tunnel has good flow (in both directions).
Spring Tunnel is dark.
The north tunnel "The Well" is relatively clear (40-50'? on the way in - much lower exiting) and looks like it may have held off the tanic when the rest of the system was flooded - flowing heavy.
Downstream of Cisteen on the Peacock-Olsen line is dark (as I would assume anything downstream Cisteen is likely to be).
A number of dead fish and crawfish litter the bottom end to end of the system.
Peanut Tunnel might be a good destination if it is benefiting at all from the clearer water from the Well - ditto for the Distance Tunnel.

Peacock's misquitoes are bad but better then anything else in that area: they must have been swept into the river by the higher than usual flow.

Dove Ginnie on Sat. The flow is Picking up but the tarp is removed from the ear. The viz is good. Had a great time and still trying to decide whether to go to peacock next weekend or back to Ginnie.

Dove Peacock Saturday. Flow is stronger than I can ever remember it: felt like I was at Ginnie. Viz was poor going to Cisteen. Peanut tunnel was tannic but reasonably clear.

Maybe Ginnie would be a better choice for tthe next week.

Went to the Crypt in Peacock on Saturday (Peacock I -> Olsen -> Crypt and same way back). Black/dark along the main line getting there, but very nice after jumping off the main line. The way into the Crypt was springing actually. Current water levels brings you to apprx. 15' going through Olsen.

All in all very enjoyable.
