View Full Version : More on Worthington tanks please.....
Does anyone have the characteristics of these tanks? cycles, overfill etc? I have the buoyancy & size info, but my buddy wants to know additional info. Are they made here or abroad?
TIA!

They are made in Canada I do believe. I looked at them I really can't see much difference between them and the Fabers. Except that they are available of course :?

I ran into a diver with a set of Worthington 95's this weekend at CEE. Not much different than the Fabers, and they weren't treated any differently. They're marked as 2400+. Only comment/complaint from the divers that were there was that they're 5lbs heavier each, which makes a noticeable difference in buoyancy.
They're made in Tilbury, Canada.

From what I understand, now that they have started producing tanks for scuba use they are being manufactured in the USA. They do have plants in Canada, and their tanks are stamped for the Canadian equivalent of our DOT. Same fill pressure standards as Fabers, so I would expect that they should handle overfills much the same. I don't know where everyone keeps getting the much heavier notion from, according to specs they are very close and in talking to one who stocks them the difference is neglible. I hope to have a set of 85's and 108's (both pair are being rigged for sm use) in before leaving for FL next week. Once back, if you would like to check them out just let me know as I am just of south of the river from you these days.
