You should at least tell them the state, and county, if not which cave. They should be able to provide enough description to convince you it is really theirs :-)

I lost a reel in Tennessee last fall, and someone found that :!:

And I lost a spool at Jackson Blue April 16th. So far, I haven't heard anything, although I asked Edd, the Sheriff's Department, and two guys that dived there the next day.
