We were pulling out of Peacock this evening and there laid a set of doubles Right at the entrance beside the highway. Someone left their tailgate down I suppose. Unger is written on the tanks as well as Amigos. The line arrows reads PW. We dropped them off at Cave Excusions. Randy.

Oh crap, can you imagine the sickening feeling of what that would feel like when you got home? I would hurl myself in front of the next moving truck.

I would throw up no doubt about it. Im surprised he hasent posted yet. I just got home and wanted to get this out here and on TDS. There was nothing else around that could have came out. Obviously they left the tailgate down. I bet theres 4 grand worth of stuff there.

I was at Wayne's when he got the call that there were Amigo's cylinders on the side of the road. Harry and I enjoyed watching Wayne's reaction to the news (a Wayne-face like you've not seen). They then spent 15 minutes or so trying to figure out how it happened - accident analysis? Thanks to Linda for calling Wayne....

We definitly need accident analysis on this one. I wouldn't want it to happen to me!

Heres an interesting update. I talked to Wayne today and it seems the kit was left there on purpose. The guy had some kind of mishap and climbed out of Challenge. Then he supposedly leaned them up against the rail fence, which they obviously fell over and walked to P1 leaving all the gear beside the highway. We didnt pass anyone walking in when we were leaving and the limerock srapes on the tanks werent from them falling out of a truck, but from him climbing out of Challenge. Not a good desition on his part since anyone could have happened by while he was walking back in. Go figure.

Yes, I dove with the gentleman today. I didn't try and get all the hairy details, but I believe his sinus/ears were bothering him. This morning he thought he might not be able to submerge on our dive, but he was OK. So, yes, he did exit Challenge. As far as leaving tanks along the road... he and his buddies are from Austria. Apparently it's a low crime region so they don't think about theft the way we do.
